1. Engine

  • Engine Type: The PC35MR is powered by a Komatsu 3D84E-5 turbocharged, 4-cylinder, direct injection diesel engine.
  • Rated Power: Approximately 24.7 kW (33.1 hp) at 2,200 rpm.
  • Fuel System: It uses a common rail fuel system to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
  • Cooling System: Includes a radiator and an oil cooler to maintain optimal engine temperature.

2. Hydraulic System

  • The hydraulic system is one of the most important components, as it powers all of the excavator's key functions like boom, arm, bucket, and swing movement.
  • Main Hydraulic Pump: This is a variable displacement pump that provides high-flow hydraulic power to operate the digging and lifting functions.
  • Hydraulic Cylinders: These control the movements of the boom, arm, and bucket. The system provides high lifting and digging power, despite the compact size of the machine.
  • Pilot System: The PC35MR uses a pilot-operated hydraulic system for precise control, allowing the operator to easily manipulate the machine’s movements with minimal effort.
  • Hydraulic Valves: These valves control the flow of hydraulic fluid to the cylinders and attachments, providing smooth and responsive movements.

3. Undercarriage

5. Boom, Arm (Stick), and Bucket

  • Boom: The large vertical arm of the excavator that gives the machine its reach and height for digging and lifting.
  • Arm (Stick): The extendable arm connects to the boom and allows the bucket to reach further into tight spaces.
